| Why do you require a signed confirmation? | As we are a seasonal property with only 30 rooms, we require guarantee of reservations. The signature on the form is for your convenience and removes your room from inventory to prevent overbooking. We are unable to hold your room reservation unless we receive your signed authorization within the 48 hour time frame. | Are you on the water? | We are not on the water nor have water views. However, you can walk a few short blocks to reach the closest public beach. We highly recommend water shoes as North Fork beaches are pebble beaches. | |
| Fire | The Greenporter Hotel is fully equipped with sprinklers and smoke alarms. All rooms open to the exterior and an evacuation diagram is located on the back of every room door for easy egress. The local fire department tests its alarm every day at noon and 6pm. | |

| What is your cancellation policy? | Telephone reservations and non-discounted internet reservations: Our cancellation policy stipulates that upon receiving written confirmation, a deposit of 25% of the total stay is charged to your credit card. Cancellation 30 days prior to reservation entitles you to a full refund. Cancels 15 to 30 days prior to reservation you will forfeit the deposit. Cancellation less than 15 days will be charged in full as per your contract. | What are your restaurant hours? |
Please note that hours for Cuvee vary seasonally and we recommend reservations. During Winter months the restaurant is closed, but may be reserved for private parties. Let us assist you with your local restaurant reservations and vineyard recommendations. | |
| Why do you have a two night minimum? |
As an independently owned seasonal property we must maintain a minimum occupancy of two nights during the weekend to employ a full time staff. | |
| Do you have rooms with double beds? |
We do not have rooms with double beds. Each room can sleep 2 people comfortably. We have cots available for travelers with children however, they are not recommended for adult use. | |
| Do offer AARP or AAA discounts? |
We do not offer AARP or AAA discounts. For better value, we highly recommend planning your visit during the week or in the off season when rates are considerably lower. | |
| How many floors and guestrooms do you have? |
We have two floors (no elevator) and 30 rooms. | |
| How many guests can your rooms accommodate? |
Rates are based on double occupancy so each room can sleep two comfortably. If you are adding a third adult there is a $49 per adult per night fee for a maximum total of 3 people in a queen or king room and 4 in a deluxe king. We can place a cot in the room for the third adult but it will diminish your hotel experience./td> | |
| Why flat sheets and not fitted sheet? |
We use 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers from Frette linens. High quality hotel linens are not available with the household elastic perimeters and they require commercial pressing. | |
